Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inaugurates the first exhibition for vehicle conversion to run on compressed natural gas – PresidencyCAIRO – 4 January 2020: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Monday affirmed that the national initiative to replace old cars and convert vehicles to run on natural gas will have direct benefits to citizens. Sisi met on Monday morning with the representatives of the largest international companies participating in the country’s first exhibition to review technologies to convert cars to work with natural gas. “These steps complement the state’s strategy to elevate the living standards of citizens and provide them with the best services,” the Presidency said. The initiative which aims at converting cars to run on compressed natural gas (CNG) will be launched in this exhibition. The exhibition is hosted under the auspices of Sisi and in cooperation with governmental bodies as well international and local companies specialized in this field, Radi added.
