A reply to RTI plea filed by dna states that thee is no agreement signed between Talgi and Railways on testing the rake. As highlighted by dna in its September 8 edition, the Railways, in reply to a Right to Information plea by dna, stated that there is no agreement between Talgo and the Railways on testing the rake. A section of current and former Railways officials are clear that the Railways should have tested the rake only after calling for an Expression of Interest (EoI). While Kumar is the Railways' top authority when it comes to all kinds of trains, Srivastava heads the RDSO that is the Railways' apex technical establishment and also the one spearheading the Talgo trials. The Talgo rake left for Delhi at 5 am on Sunday.
