Explosive remnants of war have claimed the lives of two children and injured another in the cities of Benghazi and Sirte, says the UNICEF's Acting Special Representative in Libya, Lana Wereikat. "UNICEF received reports that two children were killed and one child was injured due to explosive remnants of war. They are from Benghazi and Sirte," a statement by Wereikat on Twitter said. She stressed that every child in Libya, throughout the country, has the right to live in a safe and protected environment. "UNICEF continues to partner with the Libyan Mine Action Center to raise awareness of the dangers and effects of explosive remnants of war throughout Libya," she concluded.
