The National Safety Authority says a large unexploded surface-to-air missile has been found on Airport Road in Tripoli. The device, which weighs more than a tonne and around four metres long, was discovered near a fuel station following a report from the 111th Brigade. A specialist explosives team was dispatched to the scene and handled the missile according to established safety procedures, the authority said. It was subsequently transported safely using a rescue vehicle operated by the Greater Tripoli branch, as part of ongoing disposal procedures.
