Personal and Professional Priorities in Physician Burnout

As a calling, being a physician posits healing as the ultimate goal and personal needs become secondary as long as that goal can be met. As a job, being a physician is like any other professional job, with the emphasis on a personal life just as important. My sense is that if we keep turning medicine and psychiatry to a priority of lifestyle, that burnout will lessen. He is an advocate and activist for mental health issues related to climate instability, physician burnout, and xenophobia.

Federal Employees and Retirees Enrolled in an HSA Should Be Aware of
A recent FEDZONE column entitled “FEHB Program Health Types and Options” (https://stwserve.com/fehb-program-health-plan-types-and-options/) discusses the various types of Federal Employee Health Benefit (FEHB) program health plans available to federal employees and retirees and eligible family members. Those federal employees and retirees who own an HSA and who will soon be eligible for Medicare are advised to be aware of how enrolling in Medicare will affect their HSA. This recommendation still applies, but an exception is for any individual working past age 65, enrolled in an HDHP with access to an HSA, and who wants to continue contributing to their HSA. Additionally explained are why individuals postponing Medicare enrollment must be diligent about how applying for Social Security or Medicare after age 65 impacts HSA contributions. The rule of no other health insurance coverage besides the HDHP applies to federal employees and retirees whose other coverage is TRICARE (the group health insurance program for retired Uniformed service members, retirees and their families).

Is Anyone Crazy Enough to Audit Super Micro Computer?
Super Micro Computer’s (SMCI) stock has been in a tailspin since Ernst & Young dumped the company as an audit client about a year after it replaced Deloitte & Touche. Super Micro didn’t release the full EY resignation letter or say what the information was that spooked EY. If Deloitte were to pull its prior audit reports, or if Super Micro disavowed its prior numbers, it would constitute an event of default under the company’s credit agreements. Super Micro has said it believes it won’t have to restate previous financial reports. Persuading another major audit firm to sign on under the current circumstances would be an impressive feat.

As of Monday, Gaetz was not on the short list to be Trump’s choice for attorney general. Maggie and Swan have retconned that detail to describe, only, that Boris, Elon, and Susie Wiles were all on the plane, then fluffed it all into bullshit about clarity of what he wants. Donald Trump was considering actual lawyers for the role of Attorney General, but (per Marc Caputo) didn’t like them because they talked Constitution and all that. And he’s also Boris’ defense attorney. He was Boris’ defense attorney and then, possibly at Boris’ suggestion, added Trump as a client, creating some challenges regarding discovery.
