Forbes (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Ravens. Forbes was previously out of action after undergoing surgery to repair a torn UCL. However, the Mississippi state product returned in Week 4 but saw his role shrink considerably in Week 5. He'll now seemingly have to work to earn back a role in Washington's secondary.

KSP Investigates Fatal Vehicle vs. Motorcycle Crash in Pulaski County
EUBANK, KY (October 13, 2024) – On Saturday, October 12, 2024, The Kentucky State Police, London Post was notified of a 2-vehicle fatal collision on US 27 near Floyd Switch Estesburg Road in Pulaski County at approximately 8:00pmET. Chester Dick sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office. Lori Lisle was taken by Pulaski County EMS to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset for serious physical injuries. The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Post 11 Trooper Matthew Brumley. He was assisted at the scene by other KSP Post 11 Personnel, Pulaski County EMS, Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Eubank Police Department, Eubank Fire Department, and the Pulaski County Coroner.

Starship flight 5: SpaceX achieves ‘chopstick’ landing
Liftoff of the Super Heavy rocket booster, topped with the uncrewed Starship spacecraft, occurred at 8:25 a.m. SpaceXMeanwhile, the Starship spacecraft continued flying on its own, using its six onboard engines, before practicing a landing maneuver over the Indian Ocean. More recently, the company has moved on to more daring launches of the fully stacked Starship capsule and Super Heavy booster. The inaugural test launch of a Starship and Super Heavy — called an integrated test flight — took off in April 2023. The SpaceX Starship spacecraft flies above Earth on October 13.

2 men killed after a leak at Deer Park oil refinery worked for a maintenance subcontractor
On Friday, October 11th, PEMEX issued an official statement saying that the two employees killed during a hydrogen sulfide leak at Deer Park, a Houston-area oil refinery were employees of a subcontractor performing maintenance work. The two “were in the zone directly affected, and who received the direct impact of the gas,” Pemex Director Victor Rodriguez said during a news briefing in Mexico City. Mexican Energy Secretary Luz Elena Gonzalez said the leak has caused “no longer any risk” and that the cause of the leak is under investigation. Deer Park Mayor Jerry Mouton said city officials issued a shelter-in-place order but lifted it hours later after air monitoring showed no risk to the surrounding community. The leak caused the second shelter-in-place order in Deer Park in a span of weeks.
