Donald Trump Leads Kamala Harris on Handling Israel, Ukraine Wars, WSJ Poll Shows
(Reuters) - Former Republican President Donald Trump has an edge over Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris on who would better navigate the country through the Ukraine and Middle East wars, a Wall Street Journal opinion poll of seven battleground states showed. In overall support, the poll published on Friday showed Harris and Trump tied across the seven states that could decide the November presidential election. A Reuters/Ipsos poll this week also found Trump and Harris locked in a close race nationally, with Harris marginally ahead 46% to 43%. According to the WSJ poll, Trump leads Harris in the seven swing states 50% to 39% on who is best able to handle Russia's war in Ukraine. Trump also has a 48% to 33% lead over Harris on who is better suited to handle the Israel-Hamas war.

The White House released a report Saturday detailing Vice President Kamala Harris’ medical history. “Vice President Harris remains in excellent health,” Dr. Joshua Simmons, Harris’ physician, wrote in a memo to one of Harris’ top aides, Kirsten Allen. Her schedule is much lighter because, it is said, she does not have the stamina of President Trump,” Cheung said. Not much had been known about Harris’ health except that she contracted COVID-19 in April 2022. Harris had not previously released medical information as vice president or when she ran for president in 2020.

Kamala Harris to be in Delaware County for town hall, CNN says
Vice President Kamala Harris will be in Delaware County on Oct. 23 for a live CNN town hall, hosted by anchor Anderson Cooper, the cable news network said. The network did say the town hall will stream live for pay TV subscribers via CNN.com, CNN connected TV and mobile apps, and on CNN Max for Max subscribers. The town hall will also be available On Demand beginning Oct. 24 to pay TV subscribers via CNN.com, CNN apps, and cable operator platforms. CNN said that it has invited former president and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s campaign to participate in a separate CNN Town Hall the same day. The town hall will occur less than two weeks before Election Day.

In seven so-called ”swing states” in the United States that will determine the fate of the presidential election, voters favor Donald Trump over Kamala Harris on the issue of resolving wars around the world, including in the Middle East and the Russo-Ukrainian War. This could have far-reaching repercussions, including for the outcome of the Russo-Ukrainian War. Concerning the Israel-Hamas War, the percentage is 48% to 34% in favor of Trump. Nearly half of them said Trump is best for resolving the Russo-Ukrainian War, while 43% said he is best for resolving the war between Israel and Hamas. The outcome of the election could have profound consequences for both wars given the broad disagreements between Trump and Harris on how they should be resolved.
