Bolduan also acknowledged that nearly 42,000 Palestinians have been killed and another 2 million displaced by Israeli forces, calling the situation in Gaza a "desperate humanitarian crisis." Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance is again refusing to acknowledge that President Joe Biden won the 2020 election over former President Donald TrumpNEW YORK -- NEW YORK (AP) — JD Vance, Republican vice presidential nominee, again refused to acknowledge that President Joe Biden won the 2020 election over former President Donald Trump, evading the question five times in an interview with The New York Times, the newspaper reported Friday. “I’m much more worried about what happened after 2020, which is a wide-open border, groceries that are unaffordable.”Vance's refusal to recognize the legitimacy of the 2020 election echoes the rhetoric pushed by his running mate. Vance spoke for an hour with Lulu Garcia-Navarro, the host of the newspaper's “The Interview” podcast, which will publish on Saturday. He offered an evasive response each time she asked if Trump lost the last election. "I’ve answered your question with another question,” Vance said.

All in the day of a journalist trying to correct online misinformation. Sometimes it’s so prevalent I could spend an entire day trying to rectify mistakes and not get anything else done. CONTACT USCNN explained what really happened: Congress appropriated $650 million in the 2024 fiscal year to fund a program that helps state and local governments house migrants — and instructed US Customs and Border Protection to transfer that $650 million to FEMA to administer the program. LOS ANGELES — It’s not your imagination: The ground beneath Southern California has been particularly unsteady as of late, with the region experiencing more moderate-sized earthquakes this year than it has in decades. Eastside L.A. was rattled by a magnitude 4.4 earthquake centered in El Sereno on Aug. 12 and a magnitude 3.4 on June 2. A magnitude 5.2 earthquake, the strongest to strike the region in three years, shook Southern California on Aug. 6, with an epicenter northwest of the Grapevine. The seismic network was installed in Southern California 100 years ago because scientists thought that small earthquakes would show patterns before the big earthquakes happened. This year also marked the 30th anniversary of Los Angeles’ last destructive earthquake: the magnitude 6.7 Northridge temblor.
