Four-time NBA champion Draymond Green also got involved, writing on Instagram, “When being smart goes wrong” with the face-palm emoji. So if Lyles ends up winning the 100m-200m double, don’t expect very many American NBA players to be celebrating publicly.

Many eligible items are already on sale, and saving an extra 8% in tax is a great deal. On large purchases, especially for families with several children, it can be a big savings. It’s not worth fighting the packed parking lots and crowded stores to save $8 on $100. There are too many ineligible items on the tax-exempt list.
