That is especially true for parents of white children. Research shows that white children show both a preference for other white children and bias against Black individuals, all before Kindergarten. Black children, on the other hand, encounter racial discrimination as early as age 6. Let me be very clear: I am in no way suggesting that the white children on the playground that day with my daughter are racist. There is no way to avoid the emotions, including discomfort, that may arise when talking to children about racism and bias.

AdvertisementBut as well as the Traitors clichés we’ve all come to know and love, Wednesday’s episode also delivered a first for the Bafta-winning format in the form of… flatulence. During the latest instalment of Celebrity Traitors, Claudia Winkleman was explaining how the group’s task of the day was going to work when she paused, seemingly sensing something had shifted. #TheTraitors pic.twitter.com/WU8vuQRsVS — David Chipakupaku 🏴🇿🇲 (@David_Chippa) October 15, 2025AdvertisementClaudia being the Queen of Black usually but breaking character because Celia Imrie farted. On Tuesday, Time magazine published its latest cover, which celebrates Trump’s involvement with the recent Israel-Gaza peace deal. And Newsom’s team made it a bit more explicit:Trump critics on X, formerly Twitter, didn’t shy away from giggling. — Victor Ambrosio (@diseloatuperra) October 14, 2025Advertisement AdvertisementAdvertisement AdvertisementProof that Trump is a fuckface — Outspoken™️ (@Out5p0ken) October 14, 2025Needless to say, Trump was pretty miffed about the shot. “Time Magazine wrote a relatively good story about me, but the picture may be the Worst of All Time,” Trump wrote on Truth Social early Tuesday. I never liked taking pictures from underneath angles, but this is a super bad picture, and deserves to be called out.

Shortly after 4, about 40 to 50 journalists left together after handing in badges. AdvertisementTrump supports the new rulesSpeaking to reporters at the White House on Tuesday, Trump backed his defense secretary’s new rules. AdvertisementHe has called his new rules “common sense” and said the requirement that journalists sign a document outlining the rules means they acknowledge the new rules, not necessarily agree to them. “To agree to not solicit information is to agree to not be a journalist,” she said. The Pentagon Press Association, which has 101 members representing 56 news outlets, has spoken out against the rules.

LOADING ERROR LOADINGTreasury Secretary Scott Bessent appears intent on using the vast resources of his department to attack left-wing political groups as if they were foreign terrorist organizations in the wake of the 9/11 attacks. “I will tell you that after 9/11, Treasury became the driving force behind tracking down the networks of terrorist organizations, how they were financed, how could this have happened on U.S. soil with these international terrorist organizations,” Bessent said on the show. And that was on the international side.”“I will tell you that Charlie’s death is like a domestic 9/11,” he said. The terror attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, killed nearly 3,000 people in New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia. Bessent said his department has “started to compile lists” and “put together networks,” although he did not elaborate.

LOADING ERROR LOADINGThe Supreme Court’s conservative justices appeared likely to strip Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act of all power to protect against racially discriminatory redistricting during arguments in the case of Louisiana v. Callais on Wednesday. The white Louisianans then challenged the new remedial map for discriminating against them, and a district court agreed. LOADING ERROR LOADINGSAN FRANCISCO (AP) — President Donald Trump’s administration for now must stop firing workers during the government shutdown, a federal judge ordered on Wednesday. U.S. District Judge Susan Illston in San Francisco said the cuts appeared politically motivated and were being carried out without much thought. The decision came after federal agencies on Friday started issuing layoff notices aimed at reducing the size of the federal government. The layoff notices are part of an effort by Trump’s Republican administration to exert more pressure on Democratic lawmakers as the government shutdown continues. ___Follow the AP’s coverage of the federal government shutdown at https://apnews.com/hub/government-shutdown.

LOADING ERROR LOADINGKid Rock recently insisted that President Donald Trump has been trying to “help” Black communities in Chicago by pushing to deploy National Guard troops in the city. And he’s been threatening to send National Guard troops to Chicago for months. Last week, Texas National Guard troops arrived in Illinois after Texas Gov. Days later, a federal judge ruled to temporarily block the National Guard deployment in Chicago for at least two weeks. Biondi emphasized that Kid Rock’s assertion that Trump is trying to “help” Black communities falls flat — especially considering his administration’s attacks on diversity, equity and inclusion, or DEI, practices.
