I sat impatiently in the pew at the very back of the church and shifted uncomfortably in my skirt and blouse. I grew up in a remote community of only 300 people on the tiny island of Man-O-War Cay, at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. The tiny island in the Bahamas where the author grew up. Instead, it allowed me to witness a world far wider than my tiny island, and seeing it, sparked a need to go further. And it has taken me far beyond the church pew on that tiny island, to places that I never could have imagined.

“There is little in the archives from those years,” my colleague Reverend Karl explained over beers one evening. “Oh, my God.”“Yes — Mr. Weber owns nearly all the photographs from that time because they were confiscated by The Party,” Reverend Karl explained. Looking over the cup’s rim, I considered Mr. Weber as he spoke in German to Reverend Karl. In Germany, an extremist anti-immigration party, the AfD — the Alternative for Germany Party — has risen.

LOADING ERROR LOADINGHunter Biden doesn’t seem too concerned about being sued by Melania Trump for comments he made on a podcast linking her to sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. “Epstein introduced Melania to Trump,” Hunter Biden told Callaghan, citing reporting from author Michael Wolff — whom Donald Trump has designated a “Third Rate Reporter.”“The connections are, like, so wide and deep,” Biden said. The Trumps have long claimed that they were introduced to each other in 1998 by modeling agent Paolo Zampolli during a New York Fashion Week party. Biden also doesn’t think the lawsuit threats are anything other than “a designed distraction.”“It’s not about who introduced whom to who,” he said. HuffPost reached out to Brito for a comment on Biden’s response, but no one immediately responded.
