Indeed, even before the onset of the current war in Gaza, achieving a “two-state solution” seemed further than ever from a reality. That’s not to say there isn’t still interest in a two-state solution. A majority of Palestinians favor the two-state solution. Despite a two-state model long being seen as the solution to the problem of Israeli-Palestinian relations in the former British protectorate of Palestine, it’s time to rethink the viability of the two-state solution. But even an alternative process leading to a two-state solution could well prove just as untenable.

Ghanaian startup Hurupay is helping businesses and individuals across Africa overcome the negative impacts of fluctuating local currencies by allowing them to make and receive stablecoin-based payments. Businesses can accept stablecoin payments from customers simply by scanning QR codes, and pay suppliers with zero fees. Individuals can save money in dollars and stablecoins, send and receive money across borders with very low fees, and pay at shops. The idea for the platform came to co-founder and CEO Philip Mburu, a Kenyan, when he relocated to Ghana in September 2021. The startup monetises via a two per cent fee charged on off-ramping, as well as a 0.5 per cent fee on payments to SMEs.

Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia agreed to boost cooperation in dealing with irregular migration following a meeting of the three interior ministers in Trieste on Thursday after reintroducing border checks in October. Slovenia reintroduced police checks at its borders with Croatia and Hungary on 21 October, despite all three countries being members of the EU’s borderless Schengen area. Italy did the same along the border with Slovenia. Among the most common ways that thieves extract cash from stolen credit card accounts is through purchasing pricey consumer goods online and reselling them on the black market. SWAT takes a percentage cut (up to 50 percent) where “stuffers” — thieves armed with stolen credit card numbers — pay a portion of each product’s retail value to SWAT as the reshipping fee. Once the drops receive and successfully reship the stolen packages, the stuffers then sell the products on the local black market. The SWAT drop service has been around in various names and under different ownership for almost a decade. Milwaukee-based security firm Hold Security shared recent screenshots of a working SWAT stuffer’s user panel, and those images show that SWAT currently lists more than 1,200 drops in the United States that are available for stuffers to rent.
