Federico Chiesa's goals helped Italy to victory over North Macedonia. Italy broke the deadlock after 17 minutes when an unmarked Matteo Darmian headed in a corner at the back post. After 40 minutes, Italy had a chance to extend their advantage from the penalty spot after Nikola Serafimov's handball but Jorginho's attempt was saved by Dimitrievski. North Macedonia got back into the match after 52 minutes when Jani Atanasov nodded in a close-range cross before scoring his second with a deflected long-range shot in the 74th. "The second goal was a big deflection, it was casual, so that changes the psychological aspects of the match," Spalletti said.

An adjacent small-scale bronze bust of an African child, also from early Byzantine Egypt, cements the reach of African Byzantium, which included some Black Africans. Accented by text, geometric patterns, floral motifs and pottery, the painted and sculpted faces of Africa & Byzantium offer sympathetic connections. In much of Western scholarship, Medieval Ethiopian works were considered exceptional in their Africanity for their association with Mediterranean conventions. The exhibition might more aptly be called “Byzantium & Africa” for its omission of these concerns. Especially given the lack of the Met’s African art collection during the Rockefeller Wing’s renovation, Africa & Byzantium does a lot of work for the museum.

The signatories of the Tangier Appeal, urging the African Union (AU) to expel the self-proclaimed “SADR” from the Union, have reiterated their urgent call to the African Heads of State to eject the Algeria-backed puppet undermining the AU credibility. They reiterated call for the expulsion of the pseudo-SADR from the AU which becomes handicapped by the presence of a separatist proxy that lacks all the attributes of a sovereign state. Two major international events were put off lately sine die to avoid Polisario’s attendance and political crisis. First Saudi Arabia had to cancel its summit with the African Union, followed by a similar decision from the EU. Global powers such as the United States, Russia, China, France, Japan, and South Korea reject Polisario’s presence in their African summits.

They were so epic (literally and figuratively) that historians still pour over things like "Fabian Strategy," double envelopment and unified command -- even at the U.S. Army War College. Rome demanded Hannibal be sent to Rome for punishment. What's worse for Rome was that Hannibal wasn't losing troops, but in fact was gaining them as more Roman allies defected. Carthage's allies began to defect as a large Roman army landed in North Africa. Hannibal would eventually become a fugitive, attack Roman allies for different nations and eventually kill himself after being cornered by Roman troops.
