Director Josh Safdie explores these questions in Marty Supreme, his high-octane epic of Marty Mauser’s journey to the table tennis world championships in Tokyo. Much like Safdie’s film Uncut Gems, co-directed with his brother Benny, the absurdities of Marty Supreme are unrelenting. He is honest at the tennis table, mastering the classic playing style and celebrating his wins with the expected American arrogance. As important as the film’s discussion of identity is, Marty Supreme is only as successful as its execution. Marty Supreme masters this from start to finish.

LONDON (AP) — Elizabeth Hurley accused the publisher of the Daily Mail on Thursday of tapping her phones, putting microphones outside her windows and stealing her medical records among “other monstrous, staggering things” during testimony in a celebrity-studded privacy invasion lawsuit. “The best way I can describe it is like there is someone peeping into your life and into your home,” the model and actor said. It said that the articles were reported on with legitimate sources and many will be named by employees at the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday in the company's defense during the nine-week trial in London's High Court. Burrows has since disavowed that sworn statement and said he never worked for the Mail. “Yet again, everyone’s privacy is being invaded in this terrible way, and I feel very helpless about that.”

BTMA leaders at the press conference warned that without immediate policy support and industry-friendly decisions, the textile sector could slide into a deeper crisis.

It’s pretty horrific when self-anointed goody-goodniks usurp a religious worship service, smugly convinced their worldview is the only correct worldview. In a podcast conversation with the equally vile Jennifer Welch, Lemon pompously stated, “And there’s a certain degree of entitlement. Message to Lemon: Outsiders protesting during religious services inside a church is most certainly not protected speech, ya nitwit. At any rate, no one should take Lemon’s word as bankable legal advice, Christian theology, or the U.S. Constitution … ever. Among those stupid people are some who are utterly deranged by their ill-formed ideologies, the quarter-educated, useful idiots rightly denigrated by Russell Kirk and wrongly celebrated by Joseph Stalin.

Cultural Affairs Adviser to the interim government, Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, has said that the long-standing binary of “forces in favor of liberation” versus “forces against liberation ” needs to be re-examined. They created a cultural narrative dividing society into ‘high culture’ and ‘low culture’.”He explained, “Those who believe that so-called Bengali culture means Awami culture—meaning hegemonic politics—are labeled ‘high culture.’ And BNP? They came from the military, so ‘tsk tsk,’ they can’t be high culture. That means Ziaur Rahman isn’t high culture, Khaleda Zia isn’t high culture. They’re not high culture either.
