I rushed to the police station to meet her with one guy she claims was an ex of hers. He worked things out behind the scenes and made my wife talk to the person so the person was convinced he was a lady. The person sent the money and my wife got GH¢150,000, which I never knew or heard of. The guy later snitched that he didn’t work alone, and that my wife was his accomplice. I’ve always known something was up; I just didn’t know it was this much.

GIS arrests 11 foreign nationals over counterfeit money printing, cyber fraud

According to a public notice by his lawyers, on January 7, 2026, the former finance minister was arrested in relation to the status of his current stay in the United States. “The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), as of yesterday (6 January 2026), detained the former Minister for Finance, Mr Ken Ofori-Atta, regarding the status of his current stay in the United States. His US legal team is in contact with ICE and expects the matter to be resolved expeditiously,” part of the public notice signed by Justice Kusi-Minkah Premo read. Forestry Commission condemns killing of Resource Guard on duty

Ganyo was fatally shot in the early hours of January 6, 2026, while on patrol duty near Zitoe Camp. The Forestry Commission is working closely with the Ghana Police Service to identify and apprehend the perpetrator. He was employed by the Wildlife Division of the Forestry Commission on November 1, 2021, as a Resource Guard and served as a member of the Law Enforcement Unit until his untimely demise. The Forestry Commission extends its deepest condolences to the family, colleagues, and loved ones of Mr Raphael Ganyo.

Kade SHTS students remanded for assaulting teacher during WASSCE invigilation

Four of the accused, all above 18 years, were remanded into prison custody, while the fifth, a 17-year-old juvenile, was also remanded into police custody. Reacting to the development, the Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Daniel Fenyi, said the ruling underscores the seriousness with which authorities are protecting teachers and safeguarding the integrity of the WASSCE. “This demonstrates the level at which the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service can go to safeguard and protect the welfare of teachers, and uphold the integrity of the WASSCE,” he stated.

Ghana signs MoU to host 2026 African Athletics Championships
