Ke Huy Quan and Jeff Cohen reunited Feb. 18. Brolin recalled that, when they met, he was 16, and Quan was 13. Jackson Magondu appointed KeRRA boss

Kindiki: State settles Sh177bn pending bills for road contractors
The government has cleared all the unpaid bills for road contractors, amounting to Sh177 billion, which have been pending since 2020. “Contractors are now back on site, and adequate resources have been mobilised to ensure contractors are paid promptly,” he stated. Kindiki challenged the Ministry and the contractors to adhere to the highest quality standards and deliver the projects on time. Earlier during the meeting, Kindiki said that Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) remain central to Kenya’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation agenda. He said the two programmes are seen as flagship interventions designed to expand economic inclusion, particularly among youth and small enterprises, while supporting the broader Bottom-Up Economic Transformation framework.

Sakaja on the spot as calls for resignation intensify
[Spice FM]Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has been put on the spot by critics calling for his resignation over the Sh80 billion Cooperation Agreement deal he signed with the national government at State House in Nairobi, yesterday. He further argued that the decision declared the county executive redundant, alleging that their powers had effectively been usurped. Governor Sakaja has become a disappointment. Governor Sakaja is looking to President William Ruto for assistance with core functions such as energy and water supply, waste management, roads and infrastructure development, and construction of markets. The agreement establishes an Implementation Committee chaired by Governor Sakaja and a 12-member Steering Committee chaired by the Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, who will be deputized by the Governor.
