Monrovia – The Liberia Renaissance Office Incorporated (LIROI), the newest pressure group that is said to have been lobbying in the US for the opposition bloc has vowed to work with the opposition Collaborating Political Party (CPP) to unseat President at the polls in 2023. Their support for the CPP comes after FrontPage Africa reported that a US$180,000 lobbying and public relations campaign aiming to gain US support for the opposition in Liberia was registered under the banner of the Liberian Renaissance Office. In a release signed by the George Gyude Wisner, Coordinator of the Liberia Office calls on Liberians in and outside Liberia to usher in a “new era” in Liberia by promoting democracy, economic transformation and sustainable development in the Country. The LIROI also congratulates the Alternative National Congress on the successful holding of its extra-ordinary Convention. MONROVIA – Officials of opposition Liberty Party has reached an agreement internally to put aside their differences and work for the common goal of the party. This lead to a prompt response from the party’s political leader, Senator Nyonblee Karngar Lawrence, who termed the purported suspension of the party’s top officials as bogus. Going forward the political leader and national chairman shall consult and collaborate on all decisions, and there should be no unilateral decisions by anybody. The officials agreed that no executive member should speak publicly on the ongoing issue or any party operations unless specifically authorized to. They also called for more frequent engagements between the political leader and the National Executive Council (NEC).

MONROVIA – The Liberia National Police has arrested a stalwart of the Alternative National Congress (ANC), Jethro Saylah Kangar Harris, for allegedly spreading misinformation of ritualistic killing on Facebook. FrontPageAfrica gathered that Kangar had reportedly posted a picture of a young girl alongside a picture of an open corpse on an autopsy table. FrontPageAfrica cannot publish the photos allegedly published on Facebook by Kangar because of its graphic content. Karnga was arrested in Ganta, Nimba County while on a tour with the ANC’s standard bearer, Alexander B. Cummings. Yorgbor also said the ANC is baffled by the arrest since their stalwart didn’t directly accuse anyone in the post.

An additional 1,000 of the second doses of AstraZeneca arrived in Lofa a fortnight ago, county’s health promotion focal person at the level of the County Health Team, William Sherman, told newsmen recently in Voinjama. “Health authorities in the county are designing a risk communication strategy to facilitate its localized roll-out of the J&J vaccines across the county. “We should have launched it last week Friday, but we had some constraints and we are also concluding the development of our risk communication strategy,” Sherman said.
