GANTA, Nimba County – Police in Ganta, Nimba county have arrested and charged Nimba county Inspector for buying an AG Yamaha motorbike stolen from a social worker in the county. During the course of recovering the motorbike, Marck Gblinwon wasdeveloped as a suspect for buying the motorbike from a notorious criminal from Grand Gedeh county. New UNAIDS Country Director Pledges Continued Support To Liberia’s HIV Response
Dee – Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr., Madam Chikukwa, a Zimbabwean national, thanked Minister Kemayah for the opportunity afforded her to present her credentials. She explained that UNAIDS is not an agency, but it is a program of the UN to coordinate HIV response in Liberia. TAMPERE, Finland – Gibril Massaquoi’s frustration at facing war crimes charges that could send him to jail for life came through on his second day of testimony Friday. Liberia: Maritime Boss Nagbe Urges Liberians to take ownership of Platform Promoting Transparency, Integrity
Monrovia – The head of Liberia Maritime Authority, Commissioner Eugene Lenn Nagbe has called on Liberians to take ownership and ensure the full implementation of the Open Government Partnership’s latest National Action Plan (NAP) for 2020 to 2022. Headed by a national secretariat, the OGP has five thematic areas: transparency, accountability and integrity, citizens’ participation and inclusion, policy reforms and harnessing e-governance. For his part, British Ambassador to Liberia, Neil Bradley pledged his government’s continued support to the implementation of the National Action Plan. This, according to the plan, will increase public knowledge on bills introduced for passage. Representative Tarponweh, through a release issued said the cremation was performed by the Green Pasture Funeral Home and has created fear in those residing within the vicinity where it was done, leading some of them to evacuate their homes. According to him, he was authorized by the Ministry of Health through the issuance of a permit by the National Public Health Institute of Liberia.
