Liberia: CRCA And Partners Dedicates Seven Hand Pumps in Lofa
MONROVIA – Christian Revival Church Association (CRCA), Water of Life, and the Last Well institutions operating in Liberia have dedicated seven pumps out of its 17 wells drilled in Foya and Koluhun Districts in Lofa County. CRCA Bishop also noted that clean drinking water is paramount to the growth the development of Lofa County. According to citizens there, clean drinking water has been one of their major problems confronting their livelihood. House of Representatives Invites National Disaster Management Agency for ‘Lackadaisical’ Attitude in Responding to Disaster
The Plenary of the House, acting on the request of Rep. Richard Koon’s (District 11, Montserrado) communication voted to invite the management of the agency to state reasons behind his actions. “I am craving the endorsement of this plenary to cite the head of the National Disaster Management Agency to state reasons for the agency lackadaisical attitude in the implementation of its mandate,” he wrote. It can be recalled that in April 2020, a disastrous storm hit the three Electoral Districts damaging several houses and leaving many homeless. The lawmakers of the affected districts including Reps. Samuel Enders (District 6, Montserrado County), Richard Koon (District #11, Montserrado) and Edward Flomo (District #13) formed a partnership with Senator Darius Dillon to identify with the distressed residents. But the country’s disaster management agency, he said, has ignored its mandate by not responding to the situation.

According to the Deputy Administrator of JFK, Dama Yekeson Koffa, the photo making rounds on social may have been taken by a male identified as George Sloh, who accompanied the late Rep. Sloh to the hospital. The late Rep. Sloh (District #2, Sinoe County) died at the hospital on June 30, 2020 following a brief illness. Mrs. Koffa alleged that George Sloh, who claimed to be a son of Rep. Sloh, was caught photographing the deceased by a nurse, who was attending to deceased. Earlier, nurse Bernard, in her explanation, said Rep. Sloh was accompanied by several relatives including George, who submitted the referral note from the medical facility the deceased had earlier sought treatment. But Rep. Liberia: Judges Release Two Alleged Rapists On Bail In Nimba County
Sanniquellie – Two judges of the 8th Judicial Circuit Court in Sanniquellie, Nimba County have released on bail two persons charged with rape. Both men were charged by the Liberia National Police in Saclepea and Ganta respectively with statutory rape and were sent to the Sanniquellie central prison ahead of prosecution.
