Another rumor about a suspected case at the United Nations building was also proven as a false alarm, the public health expert said. However, he emphasized that it is “very important” for the public to report to NPHIL and health authorities any rumor, while assuring that health experts are determined to investigate it whether true or false. National Public Health Institute says it would keep in contact with people who are released to avert any eventuality. This means they showed no symptoms of the virus as health authority insist that there is no case of the virus in the country.

Walker told CPJ that he was standing with other journalists in the assigned media area when two police officers approached him and demanded that he leave. Margibi County – A non- for-profit organization, Pregnant Care Charities Counselling Center, based in Margibi County, has opened its doors to pregnant women. According to the founder, Madam Monica Manley, Pregnant Care Charities Counselling Center was opened following difficulties she, too, experienced while giving birth. Meanwhile, over 167 pregnant women from around Lower Margibi County, especially in Joe Blow Town community, attended the program. Pregnant Care Charities Counselling Center for Pregnant Women was officially open in partnership with Rescue Global Foundation, Paramount Young Women Initiative and Dr. Elizabeth E. Castle. “All Liberians including pregnant women must have access to timely, quality and affordable healthcare services,” she said.

Howard, an employee of EcoBank, said the AFL Pension Account with account #:01929522222019 was changed to AFL Welfare and Morale Account with #:0013174717655601 on the instruction(s) of the Weah-led administration. LONDON – A high-level delegation from the British Parliament is expected to begin a weeklong visit to Liberia beginning Monday, March 2-7. The delegation will hold discussions with their counterparts at the National Legislature- on issues concerning Liberia and UK towards strengthening democracy through Parliamentary engagements. The UK Parliamentary visit to Liberia is a follow-up to the 2018 visit to the Westminster Parliament, of a seven-member delegation from the House of Representatives. She was Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities 2016 and, in June 2016, she was appointed Shadow Secretary of State for International Development by Jeremy Corbyn. She was a member of the UK delegation to the Council of Europe 2015-16.

The fire caused some substantial destruction to the multi-purpose building accommodating the moringa noleifera processing plant, the smoked sheet rubber storage and generators site. John M. Tokpah, Administrator of the Bright Rubber Plantation, told reporters Wednesday, February 26, that two 25-KVA lister petter engine generators, one super-gari mail, one electrical drying oven, one slicer and 10 metric tons of processed rubber were all destroyed in the fire. The Bright Rubber Plantation’s administrator stated that this is the first time that the company has experienced fire accident of such magnitude, destroying huge worth of valuable properties. Mr. Tokpah has disclosed that the Bright Rubber Plantation’s Management has got the national security apparatus through the Liberia National Police (LNP) involved in order to establish the source of the fire.

The case is an Italian citizen who works in Nigeria and returned from Milan, Italy to Lagos, Nigeria on the 25th of February 2020. He was confirmed by the Virology Laboratory of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, part of the Laboratory Network of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control. The Federal Ministry of Health through Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, will continue to provide updates and will initiate all measures required to prevent the spread of any outbreak in Nigeria.

In a FrontPage Africa interview Wednesday, Padmore said patients, who cannot afford the payment, will not be forced to pay. Operations have come to a halt at Phebe – the largest referral hospital in central Liberia – due to fuel shortage. The doctor said patients are told to either buy fuel to run the hospital’s generators for the duration of the surgery, or pay for a private clinic elsewhere. Patients, who spoke to FrontPage Africa Wednesday, said they were shocked that the hospital was asking patients to buy fuel on their own for the hospital’s generator when the hospital services are free of charge. “We didn’t have the money they were asking us to give to buy fuel for the generator,” she said.
