Why is he trying to play saint in the case of contract doctors threatening to go on a nationwide protest tomorrow (Monday, July 26)? Najib also said the issue involving contract doctors needed to be resolved quickly, adding that the government’s silence would only make matters worse. Muhyiddin said this move would ensure continuity of service and also as a preparation for young doctors to pursue specialist training. Najib should have considered all the details in the appointments of these contract doctors before introducing such a scheme. At least he has made genuine efforts to fix the system for contract doctors so that they do not lose out.

In a stealthy swipe at his fellow centi-billionaire, Mark Zuckerberg has jumped aboard a popular Internet meme criticising Jeff Bezos over his Tuesday trip to space. The Facebook founder’s personal Instagram account hit “like” on a post by meme king Tank Sinatra that calls out the wildly wealthy Amazon founder from the perspective of Amazon’s hourly wage workforce. “Amazon workers listening to Jeff Bezos thank them for sending him into space,” the meme reads along with the extra caption, “You’re welcome? “Seriously, for every Amazon customer out there and every Amazon employee, thank you from the bottom of my heart very much. Some critics say the millions he used building his Blue Origin rocket company could have been used pay Amazon workers higher wages and fight poverty and global warming back on Earth.

Teaching the hearing impaired during the pandemic made me feel like a YouTuber. I am not rigid with teaching and learning times as some students have to wait for their parents to return from work before they have a device to use. My approach is to focus on the key points as much as possible when doing online teaching to avoid dull classes. Even if the traditional teaching method is affected by the pandemic, children’s learning must never be interrupted. Some are not as advanced as others so I had to ensure that home-based teaching and learning (PdPR) was effective for every single one of them.

THEMES of heritage and female empowerment inspired two young Malaysian talents to win the regional Asia Young Designer Awards (AYDA) 2020. Organised by Nippon Paint, AYDA aims to inspire young designers in the hopes of creating outstanding professionals in the architecture and interior design industries. Through her “Micro-housing Within Heritage” project, Dayana sought to uplift the lives of her fellow Penangites in the face of rapid urbanisation and demographic changes within the local community. ON his British Open debut, American Collin Morikawa again made the world sit up a take a look at his prowess. Morikawa said he made a significant change to his irons set-up at Royal St. George’s, following his first links experience the week before at the Scottish Open – and it certainly paid off. Working with TaylorMade’s Sports Marketing representative Adrian Rietveld, Morikawa was aiming to improve his centre strike on his mid and short irons on the firmer and tighter links turf. Morikawa said: “I changed my irons, my 9 through 7 iron that I normally have blades in. After playing on the US PGA Tour’s faster greens all year, when Morikawa arrived at the Scottish Open he struggled to get the ball to the hole on the slower links greens.

MARIA Fassi, who partnered Stacy Lewis in last week’s Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational, appears to have taken heed of a few lessons learned from the former world number one. Fassi and Lewis finished tied for 12th in the two-strong Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational team event, which was Fassi’s best finish so far this season. And with what she gained from playing alongside Lewis, Fassi opened her account at the Amundi Evian Championship in France on Thursday with a 3-under 68 – three shots off Pajaree Anannarukarn’s lead. Johnson made an inauspicious start to the 3M Open and was T64 at one-under-par 70 after the first round. At the British Open last week, Johnson finished tied for 8th.
