The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted substantial quantities of Methamphetamine, Cocaine, and Cannabis sativa packaged for export to five countries. This is contained in a statement signed by the Director, Media and Advocacy, NDLEA, Mr Femi Babafemi, on Sunday in Abuja. He said that three suspects: Larry Samuel; Mark James and Happiness Joseph, were arrested at the drug hub with 339.524kg of Cannabis Sativa, Methamphetamine and Tramadol. “In Ogun, a 30-year-old lady, Peace Egidigbo, was arrested with 1,863kg of Cannabis Sativa in Mowe, Obafemi/Owode LGA, on Wednesday. Gen. Buba Marwa, as charging the officers and men of DOGI, Rivers, Ogun and Enugu Commands of the agency, to always strive to raise the bar in their operational feats.

The Chairman, caretaker committee of the All Progressives Congress and Governor of Yobe state, Mai Mala Buni, has asked members of the party whose defection are being challenged in court not to fret. He also said the party has about 41 million members, vowing that with it the ruling APC would remain in power. He said, “Those who their defections are being challenged in court have nothing to fear. For the first time, Africa would play host to the ninth edition of the World Water Forum, billed to take place today, March 26, in Dakar Senegal. The World Water Forum is the largest international event on water, co-organised every three years by the World Water Council and a host country in a city that hosts it for a week. The Peoples Democratic Party has prayed a Federal High Court in Abuja to declare the All Progressives Congress’ national convention holding on Saturday, unconstitutional and illegal. The PDP, in a suit marked, FHC/ABJ/CS/389 2022, also sought a court order deregistering the APC as a political party, having failed to meet the requirements of Sections 222(a), 223(b), and 225 of the 1999 Constitution. The party, in the suit dated March 25 and filed by its counsel, Samuel Irabor, listed the Independent National Electoral Commission, the APC, Registered Trustees of APC, and the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee. Others were the Chairman of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee as defendants, 1st to 5th defendants respectively. The PDP prayed for order to de-registrar the APC by INEC in line with Section 225A of the 1999 constitution.

THE Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, has ordered the immediate distribution of additional batches of uniforms, kits, accoutrements and body armours to police inspectors and other ranks.
