Pakistan, Germany agree to enhance cooperation
ISLAMABAD – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi yesterday spoke on telephone with Germany’s counterpart Annalena Baerbock and decided to enhance cooperation. Foreign Minister Qureshi underscored the high value Pakistan attached to its relations with Germany. The Foreign Minister added that Pakistan was determined to further deepen its collaboration with Germany across all areas of mutual benefit. The Foreign Minister said that he looked forward to receiving the German Foreign Minister in Islamabad in April to continue discussions. The Foreign Minister briefed Foreign Minister Baerbock regarding violation of Pakistan’s airspace by an Indian missile on 9 March 2022.

Pakistan reports 473 coronavirus cases in one day
Pakistan has reported 4 more deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of confirmed positive cases has surged to 1,519,627. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 30,313 on Tuesday. According to the latest figures issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 473 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Pakistan has conducted 34,401 tests in the past 24 hours out of which 473 persons were tested positive for the disease. The COVID Positivity Ratio was recorded at 1.37 percent.

'March' towards Islamabad on Pakistan Day, PDM chief tells nation
ISLAMABAD: In a bid to oust the PTI-led government, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Monday has called on the nation for an anti-government long march towards Islamabad on March 23. Talking to the journalists, the PDM chief said: "People should be ready for staying in Islamabad [...] we are not sure till when will the long march last." His statement came after Senator Faisal Javed announced that the PTI's rally in Islamabad will take place on March 27 and the vote on the no-confidence motion will take place a day after. 'In-line with people's exceptions, hopes'The PDM chief said the Opposition's no-confidence motion against the prime minister was "in-line" with the expectations and the hopes of the Pakistani people. They are not able to accept that OIC foreign minister's meeting will take place here after 15 years," Chaudhry said.

Pakistan will soon send humanitarian aid to Ukraine: FM
MULTAN/ISLAMABAD – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Saturday that Pakistan had adopted a balanced policy over the Russia-Ukraine conflict and would send humanitarian assistance to Ukraine soon. The minister said the Ukraine conflict was a very sensitive issue and Pakistan had emphasized that Russia and Ukraine should resolve the matter through dialogue and diplomacy. Thankfully, what we got was an Oilers team that was hungry for more offence and had no interest in sitting back and letting Tampa Bay dictate the play. For me, this win was as impressive as it gets for a team that is desperate for points.
