Former Gilgit-Baltistan chief justice Rana Shamim filed an intra-court appeal in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday, challenging his indictment in the affidavit case. Justice Rana Shamim requested the court to quash the case by declaring the indictment order null and void, adding that there was nothing on record to prove that he provided the affidavit. Justice Shamim also made journalist Ansar Abbasi, the bureau chief and editor-in-chief of the said publication parties to the case. According to sources familiar with the development, a member of Jamaat-e-Islami delegation asked the PML-Q head whether he has made up his mind about making Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as Chief Minister of Punjab. Instead of going to class and gaining an education, children work themselves to the bone for reasons they do not understand. It should come as no shock that while child labor is a foul field, it has irrefutable impacts on economies such as Pakistan. In continuum, the unregulated essence of child labor directly contributes to rising health risks across the world. Governments and their people must work hand in hand to eradicate this evil. Only by banding together for the greater good will we be able to finally put an end to child labor.

Wall collapse of a domestic residence in Karachi left three children dead on Sunday. A wall of a house collapsed in Malir Bakra Peri area of Karachi. The bodies of the three dead children have been shifted to the hospital for post-mortem. Police rushed to the spot as soon as the accident was reported. On the other hand, the body of a woman was found from a house in Orangi Town while a case of car theft of comedian Shakeel Siddiqui was registered.
