Pakistan will never let you down
The United States encouraged non-democratic forces in Pakistan so that it could get its decisions implemented without any hindrance. Pakistan remained under serious threat from a very intimidating and hostile neighbour which did not let it focus on the economic front. External forces never let meritocracy develop in Pakistan. China has friendly relations with two of its neighbours, one of them being Pakistan with extremely robust economic, social and trade benefits. All we need as Pakistanis is to believe that Pakistan will never let us down.

Special Teams Are Killing The Oilers
Here is a list of the top-15 teams combined special teams % over that same span. It isn’t a full season, but for 63% of this year their special teams are on pace with some of the worst special teams we’ve seen. Since the NHL began tracking special teams in 1978, here are the worst combined special teams of all-time. So yes, it was better, but even with him in the lineup the combined special teams is still only 92.7%. The coaching staff and the players on the power play and special teams need to realize the importance of improving their special teams.

Senseless nation?
For a moment, I was out of my senses, but then, I realized it was a bomb blast and I must report. That was the day I had become senseless as no one tried talking or thinking about the innocent lives lost in that suicide bomb blast. How could a man leave his family behind in the middle of a bomb blast, she wondered. My wife started exchanging some harsh words with me and called me senseless. That shows how senseless we are, both as a government and as a nation.

Pak, Afghanistan allow free movement of trucks to enhance transit trade: Razak
ISLAMABAD – Pakistan and Afghanistan have allowed free movement of each other’s trucks between the two countries and cross stuffing Temporary Admission Documents (TAD). Earlier, Pakistan had allowed traders the export settlement of 14 items with Afghanistan in local currency. Pakistan had taken the decision in the wake of a drastic decline in exports to Afghanistan. Mamata shares dais with PK, quashes speculation of any rift
Kolkata: Putting to rest all speculation of a break-up with I-PAC, Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee shared the dais with poll strategist Prashant Kishor on Tuesday at a party meeting here. Ending the speculation Kishor sat on the dais between Subrata Bakshi, party's state president and MP, and Partha Chatterjee, secretary-general of the party. TMC national general-secretary Abhishek Banerjee was also present on the podium during the TMC's organisational meet at Nazrul Mancha on Tuesday. The TMC supremo, who announced the formation of a new state committee on the occasion, was seen interacting with Kishor at the programme. Kishor's presence at the meet clearly indicated that his relationship with the party was as close as before.

Pakistan reports 796 new corona cases, 10 deaths
ISLAMABAD – Pakistan on Saturday morning reported 796 fresh Covid-19 cases marking a week when the country reported fewer than 1,000 daily cases. The Covid positivity rate also dropped to 2.1 percent in the last 24 hours, down from 2.6 percent a day earlier. The NCOC figures showed the number of confirmed positive cases has surged to 1,513,503 after 796 new infections during the last 24 hours. So far, 127,117,340 people have received their first dose of anti-Ccoronavirus vaccine including 166,131 in the last 24 hours. As many as 9,292,129 citizens have been fully vaccinated while 242,151 received their second dose in the last 24 hours.

How does a Nation Fail? Lessons from History
While working in Somalia, Afghanistan and South Sudan, I often tried finding underlying commonalities. In Afghanistan, the institutions were found cow-towing to warlords, in South Sudan to SPLA veterans and Somalia to clan chiefs. The key reason for this inter alia includes the political system, which supports the rich, who hobnob with the powerful and exploit the masses. Unless the whole political system of electioneering and governance is reformed, this vicious cycle would only generate the leadership that most desist. In Somalia, Afghanistan nothing of an empowered federal authority existed.

PAF-USAF joint air exercise ‘Falcon Talon’ culminates
The bilateral exercise was aimed at Interoperability in complex Air Operations in realistic contemporary scenarios. Interacting with the combat crew of both the air forces, Air Marshal Zahid congratulated the participants on successful completion of the exercise. He also appreciated the air and ground crew for smooth and professional conduct of this significant exercise. Both the air forces, he added, have a long history of enviable cordial relations and hoped that this exercise would certainly enable both the air forces to learn from mutual experiences in addition to promoting inter-operability.

FO for avoiding diplomacy via social media
Pakistan has conveyed its serious concerns to the Western diplomatic missions, which used social media platforms to issue a joint statement urging Islamabad to condemn Russian blitzkrieg of Ukraine. The joint statement was also endorsed by the US Embassy in Islamabad through its official Twitter handle. The spokesperson said using the social media platform was a tricky tool and one has to be careful while using it. Western countries and their allies have been pushing Pakistan to take a clear stance against Russia. But Pakistan’s efforts to stay “neutral” are being severely tested as many Western countries are publically asking Islamabad to condemn Russia.
