Egyptian, Libyan manpower ministers to launch electronic link system on Monday

CAIRO – 18 December 2021: Egypt’s Minister of Manpower Mohamed Saafan and his Libyan counterpart, Ali Abed, will launch in a press conference on Monday an electronic link system between the two countries to organize the entry of Egyptian workers to the Libyan labor market. This comes in preparation for the return of Egyptian workers to Tripoli to participate in the reconstruction process. Saafan stressed the importance of the electronic link system between the two countries to regulate the entry of Egyptian workers to the Libyan labor market in a legitimate manner according to legal procedures, and to determine the whereabouts of these workers. In June, Abed affirmed his country’s readiness to receive Egyptian workers wishing to work in Libya. He said that the Libyan National Unity Government is currently working to settle the conditions of Egyptian workers who entered Libyan illegally.
