Long favoured for their exposure to global growth and diversification benefits, the nation’s assets have fallen out of favour amid a sluggish economy, weak tourism and recurring political unrest. Thai stocks trade at around 14 times forward earnings, which is below the five-year average and a gauge of regional peers. Long-dated Thai bonds offer “compensation, or a margin of safety” should there be higher government spending and inflation risks, he said.

Siwa Thamikkanon, deputy governor of deputy Chiang Mai, said the province has received frequent complaints about temple vandalism and has coordinated with the Office of Buddhism, police and other agencies to tackle the issue.

Authorities mobilised a coordinated search involving administrative officials, tourist police, national park rangers and rescue volunteers. At 11.43pm, rescuers located the men on a slope to the left of Haad Rin, exhausted but uninjured.

Daily allowances paid to athletes were allegedly lower than the amounts the association claimed from the SAT. The budget claims also covered costs for hiring foreign coaches and their accommodation, despite no actual employment.
