Higher education is in crisis as well, not only in Korea but also in the U.K., the U.S. and other countries. I believe this is also a crisis of the numbers and methods we use to make decisions. However, I don't think U.K. university administrations care much about these people; numbers on balance sheets might be more important to them. Those who have these numbers can afford to live a good life, while those who have fewer numbers can only survive. Returning to the problems of U.K. universities, I would say that modern universities rely heavily on numbers.

The people who would have been gifted before, remain gifted, and those who would not have been gifted, continue not to be. I would argue that the answer is “yes,” because Generative AI uniquely is doing some of the higher-level cognitive work, not merely the lower-level supportive cognitive work that supports the higher-level cognitive work. 16:1498132. doi: 10.3389/fpsyg.2025.1498132, PubMed Abstract | Crossref Full Text | Google ScholarKlingbeil, A., Grützner, C., and Schreck, P. To celebrate, we have compiled a gallery of red squirrel shots from across Cumbria and the surrounding regions, click the main article image to view. The Red Squirrel Survival Trust celebrate the appreciation day, which aims to raise awareness of the plight of red squirrels in the UK and the actions being undertaken for their conservation. Cumbria is one of the last counties in England where red squirrels still survive in the wild. In 2024, the Keswick area saw numerous outbreaks of the fatal virus in red squirrel communities, each time seemingly wiping out most or all of the reds close by. Volunteer groups across Cumbria often head into the woods at first light, in all weathers, to monitor feeders, record sightings and humanely manage grey populations.
