Atypify, a UK-based charity, has launched the scheme to support neurodivergent individuals aged 14 to 25. The workshops, which take place in north London, will focus on building confidence and pathways into further education and employment. Lara Akinnawo, co-founder of Atypify, said: "Too many neurodivergent people are excluded from education and employment because systems are not designed with them in mind. "These workshops are about empowering individuals, building confidence and ensuring they have the tools and support they need to succeed on their own terms." Atypify also hopes the workshops will help increase wider understanding of neurodiversity and promote more inclusive environments in education and the workplace.

LONDON: The UEA has removed Britain from the list of countries Emirati students can study at on government scholarships due to fears of radicalisation by Muslim Brotherhood on university campuses. The UAE ministry of higher education and scientific research maintains an approved list of universities and majors eligible for scholarships for Emirati students studying abroad. The majority of students take these scholarships. “The UAE does not want their kids to be radicalised on campus,” the UAE official told the newspaper. Officials also told the UK Times that “funding for the UK was being cut owing to the influence of Muslim Brotherhood on campuses”.Emirati families can still pay out of their own pockets to send children to the UK.The UAE designated Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organisation in 2014. Fortunately, Indian students have typically not been drawn into such movements, but nonetheless we advise all our students to exercise caution on campus.”

Sarah Rendell’s live Women’s Super League blog of Arsenal v Manchester United will be with us soon. Meanwhile, Tom Garry has sent us this scene setter from the Emirates. Arsenal are averaging just over 36,000 for home games this term, while nobody else in the continent is averaging more than four figures. There is a buzz around the ground despite the chill in the air. Neither side can afford to lose, if they have any hope of catching the leaders Manchester City, and equally, any losing side today would lose ground on the other in the race for the Champions League places.

Meanwhile, city workers removed barricades made of old Christmas trees and other debris that had been blocking the streets near where the Ice officer shot Ms Good as she tried to drive away. Federal agents stood ready as protesters gathered in Minneapolis (Adam Bettcher/AP)The shooting in Portland, Oregon, took place outside a hospital on Thursday afternoon. Early Friday, Portland police reported that officers had arrested several protesters after asking them to move from the street to the pavement, to allow traffic to flow. But state and local officials and protesters rejected that characterisation, with Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey saying video recordings show the self-defence argument is “garbage”. Vice president JD Vance said the shooting was justified and Ms Good was a “victim of left-wing ideology”.

The MoD's budget is due to rise by 3.6% in real terms by 2029, under departmental spending plans fixed last year. The increase was weighted towards the long-term investment budget, which pays for new military kit, rather then the day-to-day budget that covers things like administration costs and salaries. Labour has pledged to raise overall defence spending from 2.3% to 2.5% of national income by 2027, estimated to cost an extra £6bn a year. This is not the first time that there have been warnings about the MoD's ability to fund its spending commitments. An MoD spokesperson said it was working "flat out" to finish the investment plan, adding that Labour had inherited an "underfunded defence programme" from the previous government.

The billionaire appeared defiant on Friday night despite the outcry over reports X’s AI chatbot Grok was creating sexualised images of people, including children, at users’ request. But Mr Musk responded by sharing a post from US legislator Anna Paulina Luna threatening to sanction both Sir Keir Starmer and the UK if X was blocked in the country. On Friday, X appeared to have changed Grok’s settings, with the chatbot telling users that only paid subscribers could ask it to manipulate images. However, reports suggested this only applied to those making requests in reply to other posts, and other ways of editing or creating images, including on a separate Grok website, remained open. Ofcom has powers under the Online Safety Act to fine businesses up to £18 million or 10% of global revenue, as well as to take criminal action.
