The billionaire owner of the Los Angeles Times has cited the war in Gaza as a reason for vetoing the paper’s endorsement of Kamala Harris for president. Soon-Shiong subsequently dismissed Gaza as a reason in an interview with the newspaper. “The temptation is to speak in muffled tones about an issue the international courts have called a plausible genocide. But this moment requires opposition to crimes against humanity, ethnic cleansing, and Apartheid – as my parents did in South Africa. This is a refusal to ENDORSE a candidate that is overseeing a war on children.”

Google's Big Sleep team uncovers a zero-day vulnerability using AI for the first time. An AI agent has discovered a previously unknown, zero-day, exploitable memory-safety vulnerability in widely used real-world software. It’s the first example, at least to be made public, of such a find, according to Google’s Project Zero and DeepMind, the forces behind Big Sleep, the large language model-assisted vulnerability agent that spotted the vulnerability. The same accusation of lack of attention applies if you are unaware of DeepMind, Google’s AI research labs. So when these two technological behemoths joined forces to create Big Sleep, they were bound to make waves.

The term “ realignment ” gets used and abused a lot, because people have agreed to use it without agreeing on a definition . Starting in 1932, FDR pulled black, working-class and immigrant white voters into the Democratic Party, making it the majority party for generations. Bragging about your advantage in the electoral college only to call it racist and undemocratic when it works against you is not a great look. Again, I’m writing before the many states start counting votes: Imagine a scenario in which Harris wins the electoral college but loses the popular vote and the hypocritical switcheroo that could cause. Suddenly, Democrats might be hailing the wisdom of the founders and Republicans might be denouncing the electoral college as a rigged and racist relic.

Patrick Soon-Shiong. Photo by Kevork Djansezian/Getty ImagesIn an internal email sent on November 3, Patrick Soon-Shiong, medical technology billionaire and owner of the Times, outlined some of the reasons behind his decision that the paper would not endorse a candidate for president this year. After The Washington Post’s owner and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos similarly made a decision not to endorse, 250,000 readers reportedly canceled their subscriptions. “The temptation is to speak in muffled tones about an issue the international courts have called a plausible genocide. It was more courageous in not endorsing than endorsing either candidate in support of this inaction.

Penn State police are investigating the incident in which Jason Kelce smashed a fan’s phone ahead of Saturday’s Nittany Lions’ game against Ohio State, a spokesperson told The Associated Press. CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMAfterward, Kelce approached the fan and said, “Who’s the f—-t now” several times. I’m not proud of it, and in a heated moment, I chose to greet hate with hate, and I just don’t think that’s a productive thing. I don’t think it leads to discourse and it’s the right way to go about things. They, instead, found a problem with what the Penn State fan said, rather than the phone being smashed.

LOS ANGELES — With its first season in the Big Ten slipping away, USC is making a change at quarterback. Moss, a former four-star prospect, had patiently waited for his time at USC over the previous two seasons as a backup to Caleb Williams. Maiava, meanwhile, bounced between three high schools in two states and didn't start seeing a private quarterback coach until last summer. While he's only received limited snaps so far at USC this season, Maiava is no stranger to leading a college offense. He first committed to Georgia in January, before flipping to USC just two weeks after Moss' breakout bowl performance.

It’s archaic and should be eliminated. The popular vote should determine the winner. It should be adjusted to make the votes proportional, rather than winner-take-all. The Electoral College gives voice to smaller, less populous states. It’s hard to say without an in-depth study of the potential consequences.
