She said he was listed in the TRC report to face justice and his demise without prosecution is justice denied for hundreds of Liberians. The TRC report comprised over 500 pages and called for the accountability, the establishment of a war crimes court to try notorious perpetrators who bore the greatest responsibilities for atrocities that occurred during the war. About 80 percent of global coronavirus patients recover without going to the hospital, according to the World Health Organization (WHO)—the UN organ responsible for global health. Currently, there are 356 active coronavirus cases and 1,131 people who came in contact with coronavirus patients being followed up. ON JUNE 19, the National Public Health Institute of Liberia reported 601 confirmed cases of COVID-19. THIS SHOWS the level of carelessness Liberians continue to exhibit towards the COVID-19 fight. Though the national tally of confirmed Covid-19 cases may indeed be increasing slowly compared to many other countries, the numbers have continued to rise. It is our hope that all citizens and residents of Liberia will own the fight against COVID-19 knowing that until there is a collective adherence towards the basic health protocols, life would never come back to normalcy and the country will continue to plunge into hardship and underdevelopment.
