Firstly, there are no intentions to replace the current Vice President, as she remains the permanent No. Speaking to FrontPageAfrica Sunday, Mr. Morlu said the disagreement with President Weah has been resolved and the two have reconciled. Truce BreachedSaid Mr. Morlu: “The CDC cannot and will not remain silent if the problems it stood against yesterday begin to resurface in the governance corridors of today. Late last week, President Weah reportedly placed a call to the ruling party chair and summoned him and Rep. Gray to a meeting after which peace between the feuding pair was reportedly brokered. This is a really sad that someone would go to such a length to try and betray me,” Mr. Morlu said.

The living conditions of Liberians become bad and worse when Liberians prefer what is American over what is Liberia. Notwithstanding, I think it is an overstatement or a mere short-cut explanation to say that Over-Americanization is responsible for Liberia’s mass poverty and underdevelopment. Well, this goes to prove how rich and diverse is the Liberian culture. Worse, it was also under our watch that the famous Liberia Culture Center at Kendaja was replaced by a 5-star hotel. In other words, we learn nothing about our vast natural resources, their value and utility to our general national development.

Monrovia – FrontPageAfrica has reliably learned that President George Manneh Weah on Thursday smoked a peace pipe with two major stalwarts of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change. “It’s true that the chief called a meeting today to reconcile. The President reportedly became upset last week when the ruling party’s chairman Mulbah Mulbah tore into the lapses of the administration which he believed was breaking away from the party’s grassroots mantra that brought Mr. Weah to power. Said Mr. Morlu: “The CDC cannot and will not remain silent if the problems it stood against yesterday begin to resurface in the governance corridors of today. The fear of a divided party going into an election vulnerable is said to be a key reason why President Weah was pressed to reconcile with the disgruntled pair.

Celebrate US Senate Vote on Permanent Status for Holders of DED, TPS, OthersWashington – Liberians across the United States are welcoming news of the Senate approval of a provision in the NDAA that accelerates a pathway to citizenship, especially for Liberians on temporarily legal reliefs. By any estimation, the NDAA bill with the Liberian provision is the most pro-Liberian Diaspora legislation ever authored in the US Congress. In 2007, President Bush directed that DED be granted to Liberian TPS holders, allowing them to remain in the United States for 18 months. This temporary legal relief was in response to the three West African countries affected by the Ebola epidemic. He said the union will be making a formal position after the signing of the NDAA Bill into law.

Vice Chair of AFL Widows Madam Musu Kermu and Former Representative Rufus Neufville at a gathering in Doe CommunityMonrovia – As the issue of the December 30 “Weah Step Down” protest takes center stage in the country, widows of former Armed Forces of Liberia officers have expressed concerns about the protest. The AFL widows told reporters on Wednesday, December 18 that “it is better for Liberians to live in hardship than to have a protest that will call on President George Weah to step down”. The very protest had brought us where we are today, a place of rejection by society because we are widows. Also speaking, the youth chair of Doe Community, Mr. Lorenzo Weah, in similar manner, condemned the protest. Weah said “violence does more harm than good” to the country, scares investors and carries the country backward.

The Liberia National Police in collaboration with thugs from Sabu Unit and Zebra Unit severely brutalized, arrested, and jailed dozens of militants from our Party (The Student Unification Party). So, I didn’t only depend on SUP militants to guarantee my security and safety but I also hired private security guards since Friday, December 6, 2019 up my graduation day on December 11, 2019. When those petit bandits and thuggish elements loyal to Weah’s hegemony could no longer locate us on SKD Sports Stadium, they began pursuing us en masse (NSA, Sabu Unit, and Zebra Unit). Boayue, were forcibly snatched away by those pro-poor bandits and ex-combatants from Zebra Unit and Sabu Unit. “Salvum volumus Liberia copulent” meaning in English from Latin “We must unite to save Liberia”.

They argued ad nauseam that their man would have easily transplanted his sublime performance on the soccer pitch to the presidency. Little did they know that leadership is not about playing soccer and playing soccer is not also leadership. But his epitaph reads—Weah is the worst leader Liberia was luckily unfortunate to have! The unity of the people against Weah always denied him victory in the run-off. Lately, Civil Servants of Liberia have thrown themselves into resistance, and we stand with them!

Someday when this government is no more in power, you will have to come forth with a sincere apology to the Liberian people. In our youthful exuberance, we equated governance to playing football on the beautiful turf of the SKD Sports Complex. We turned national governance into a theatre of the absurd. We desecrated public service by misleading the youth to believe that one did not have to go to school to prepare for leadership. One only had to be a rabble-rouser and a blind loyalist to be accorded a lavish welcome to public service.
