Ayobami, who is famous for her exploits in the real estate sector, has carved an enviable niche as a high-flying entrepreneur. There is also a need for adequate training and licensing of real estate practitioners to sanitise the system and ensure the safety of investors’ investments in real estate. The real estate industry is a male-dominated field; it takes a stubborn choleric woman like me to be successful in real estate. Again, there is a need to encourage financial institutions to make access to funds easy for women in business, especially in the real estate sector. Adequate training platforms where interested persons can come and learn the tenets of real estate business should also be provided.

The Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) says they will embark on a one-day warning strike on April 25, over the introduction of 15 per cent National Automotive Council (NAC) levy. The agents argued that the NAC levy is mostly meant for new vehicles, questioning the rationale behind the introduction of the duty on used vehicles. The circular said that the warning strike was a fall out of consultations among critical stakeholders. “We have consulted widely among critical stakeholders as par the 15 per cent NAC and “illegal benchmarks on Pre-Arrival Assessment Report (PAAR).”“It has been concluded that the 15 per cent NAC is a fraud and an obnoxious policy. It said that all members should be ready to down tools and ensure total shut down at the ports after the warning strike, if the policy was not reversed.

Verily, (there) is in their stories a lesson for men (of) understanding… (Quran 12:111)Brethren once again got to the gated house of the multimillionaire in the city. Brethren, the former “Excellency” had been out of power for close to a decade when the incident happened. Physically, his body had become jaded; his speech had become slurred, his gait had been lost to the vicissitude of time and life. Having found riches and power by accident, he plunged headlong into a life of revelry and comfort. Thus not long after he stepped out of power or rather long after power slipped out of his hands, his body began to pay for his interdictions.
