As of 2021, according to the National Universities Commission (NUC), there are 79 private universities (in 1999, there were just three private universities – Igbinedion, Madonna and Babcock), 48 state universities and 43 federal universities. However, despite their increasing number, private universities have not been able to bridge the admission gap in the nation’s tertiary institution and maximise their carrying capacity. You cannot find that mismatch in any private university, where funds had been committed to providing in most cases, adequate facilities. Coordinator, Grace Schools Centre for International Studies, Philip Balogun, also observed that private universities are guided by the NUC. Of course, if you look at the total enrollment of private universities, they account for less than six per cent.

Although the Bible foretold it that perilous times will come, but said we should run away from it. Even citizens want to check out of the country because things are no longer the way they used to be. Arowojolu stressed that the foundation for producing well-behaved children must be laid at both primary and secondary education levels, as a major step to revamping Nigeria’s lost glory. An unexpectedly sharp drop in subscribers has Netflix considering changes it has long resisted: minimising password sharing and creating a low-cost subscription supported by advertising. Netflix projected a loss of another 2 million subscribers in the current April-June quarter. “There are over 100 million households already choosing to view Netflix,” Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said. While Netflix clearly believes these changes will help it build upon its current 221.6 million worldwide subscribers, the moves also risk alienating customers to the point they cancel. LaFiya Telehealth and TytoCare say they are partnering to accelerate the depth of clinical care given through telemedicine in Nigeria by ensuring that physicians can examine and diagnose patients virtually beyond video consultations in the country. The partnership is bringing an integration of their services to enable remote examinations with livestreaming, information from TytoCare Home kits, and consequently a more precise and detailed prognosis and early diagnosis. Tyto Care will enable patients to participate in examination and diagnosis using Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered TytoHome handheld examination device. The device will provide a better understanding of a patient’s conditions, need for treatment and the urgency to see a clinician, as well as help clinicians better triage on patients. It will ensure unnecessary in-person visits can also be avoided.

Researchers killed both viruses using UV-LED lights, which can alternate between white light and decontaminating ultraviolet (UV) light. Upon testing the viruses at different concentrations, they found samples with more viral particles were more resistant to the UV lights. Repeated exposure to UV light is key to catching those missed particles — fortunately, it’s as easy as flipping a switch. Escalator handrails could be continuously disinfected by putting UV lights in the underground part of the track, cleaning it with each rotation. With motion sensors, the lights automatically switch to UV light when a room is empty, then turn back to regular light with movement.

There are currently four districts in the state where Black voters can elect their preferred candidates. This is DeSantis' proposed fifth congressional district, which would be 13% Black. By dismantling a district where Black voters have been able to elect the candidate of their choice, DeSantis diminishes Black political power in northern Florida. Is it a Black district or is it not a Black district?” Li said. Instead, DeSantis’s proposal splits Jacksonville into two districts, lumping Black voters in Jacksonville in with white, GOP areas elsewhere.
