LeBron James weighed in on the general election result on Wednesday after Fox News projected Donald Trump would retake the presidency over Vice President Kamala Harris. James made his opinion about which way he wanted the election to swing days before voters went to the polls. Trump was projected to win the election early Wednesday morning as Pennsylvania and Wisconsin were called for him. Fox News projected him to win Michigan later in the day, smashing through the supposed "blue wall" of Democratic-favored states. Trump also carried Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Utah, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Alabama, Tennessee, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, West Virginia, Florida, a Maine district and three Nebraska districts.

NewsNation, which used information from the elections forecasting company Decision Desk HQ, made its call at 1:22 a.m. on Wednesday. The AP called the election for Trump at 5:34 a.m. ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and the AP all made their calls within a few moments of each other. Fox averaged 9.7 million viewers for its coverage in the prime-time hours, well above second-place ABC News, which had 5.7 million. Newsmax, Fox's chief rival for conservative viewers, had 947,000 viewers and NewsNation had 237,000, Nielsen said.

Anti-Trump, former CNN host John Avlon loses congressional race
Former CNN anchor and political analyst John Avlon, who was among the network’s fiercest critics of former President Trump, lost his bid to represent New York’s 1st Congressional District. Avlon conceded the race before midnight on Election Day, keeping the district located in the eastern part of Long Island red. LaLota won easily, earning an 11-point victory with nearly all votes reporting as of Wednesday morning. After Trump won, The Daily Beast declared it would be part of the "loyal opposition" against the president. In 2018, Avlon gushed about how The Daily Beast "roared back and took on Trump."

Reportedly dubbed Jiu Tian, or “High Sky” in Chinese, the new jet drone design comes from the state-run Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). As noted, there are reports that the Jiu Tian has a maximum takeoff weight of around 10 tons. Chinese InternetThe Jiu Tian also sports four stores pylons under each wing, though nothing is seen loaded onto them in the images that have emerged so far. More broadly speaking, Jiu Tian could give China’s armed forces a valuable additional multi-mission long-range and long-endurance uncrewed platform. Though not a stealthy design, Jiu Tian presents another potentially important addition to China’s uncrewed arsenal, including in the role of drone swarm mothership.
