The judgement is unlikely to be paid out since the owners have been in financial trouble for years, making it largely symbolic. The owners of Return to Nature Funeral Home, Jon and Carie Hallford, did not acknowledge the civil case or show up to hearings, said the attorney representing families, Andrew Swan. LOS ANGELES — The NBA may be leaving TNT after next season, but apparently Charles Barkley is staying put. Discovery, said in a statement Tuesday that "TNT Sports and Charles Barkley today reaffirmed his long-term commitment that will see the broadcasting icon and Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer exclusively contribute to TNT Sports for many years to come." Last month, the NBA snubbed TNT in its new media rights deal, which starts with the 2025-26 season. In June, he announced his intention to retire from TV after next basketball season, even if TNT managed to keep broadcast rights to the NBA. On Tuesday, though, Barkley said in a statement that he plans to remain on the network "for years to come."

Three Florencia 13 gang members — Jesse Contreras, Luis Alfredo de la Rosa Rios and Ernesto Cisneros — pleaded guilty in 2023 to federal racketeering charges for their roles in the robbery and fatal shooting of Arroyos. In their pleas, they admitted killing Arroyos as part of gang activity perpetrated by Florencia 13. In one instance, gang members are accused of beating a man to death outside a bar in October 2022 in the Florence-Firestone area. “Florencia 13 is known for its barbaric tactics, which, tragically, resulted in several murders alleged in the indictment,” Davis said.
