Justice Minister Frank Musah Dean, Jr. has been ordered to ensure that ALL perpetrators and their masterminds are arrested in order to face the full weight of the law. The government recognizes that free expression and freedom to engage in political activities are guaranteed under the law, but violence will not be tolerated. Those orchestrating and engaging in such acts will meet the full force of the country’s justice system.

Paynesville – Thirteen-year-old Vargah Flomo is living with a complicated health problem. His mother, Massa Kamara, recalled that he was immediately rushed at the JFK Hospital by people on the scene. The surgery at the MSF Hospital showed some greenlight, but doctors there were unable to make him urinate freely. But Flomo’s parents do not have the means of taking him out of Liberia for treatment and are calling from assistance from goodwill individuals in and out of Liberia. Grand Bassa County – A 67-year-old man, James Droglen is calling for help following a near-death injury he sustained when he fell from a palm tree few days ago. The incident occurred on Saturday, June 2020 in Gorbhah Town, Wee Statutory District located in Electora District #4, Grand Bassa County. He survived following hours of surgeries performed by Doctors at the Liberia Agriculture Company (LAC) Hospital. Explaining his ordeal to a team of reporters following the surgeries, Droglen said he was recused by two ‘Good Samaritans’- Dorris Weeks and Esther Davis who heard him screamed following the incident. Reports says he had earlier worked for Grand Bassa County’s Senator Jonathan Kaipay.

According to the COVID-19 National Response and Incidence Management System, the production of the face masks will be completed in 10 days. Like the stimulus package; the face masks when completed will be distributed to the affected areas and vulnerable citizens within the 15 counties. Montserrado County which is the most affected county is poised of carrying about half of a million face masks when the production is completed. Minister Sirleaf added that wearing of face masks, social distancing will help reduce the cases of Coronavirus in the country. MONROVIA – A secular nonpolitical organization, “The Old Skool Family” has frowned on the debilitated state of orphanage facilities in the country that pretend to be giving orphans a better living condition. The organization said orphans are part of the society and should be shown all the care and love that every child needs to be happy. An official of the organization, Mr. Bedell Sandi called on the government of Liberia to take immediate action to remedy the situation orphans are enduring. Monrovia – A man, who was stripped naked by two soldiers of the Armed Forces of Liberia and made to parade the main streets of Gbarnga in February this year, has filed a US$1.3 Million lawsuit against the Ministries of Defense and Justice. The lawsuit named the Ministry of Defense by and thru the Minister, Daniel Dee Zlankahn and Chief of Staff Prince C. Johnson as first Defendants and Justice Minister Cllr. Woods added in his complaint that on February 22, 2020, he appeared at the police station in Totota, Bong County as an executive member of the county’s motorcyclist to probe an alleged stolen motorcycle situation. He recalled that when he was taken to Gbarnga adjacent the Paulma Guest House, the two soldiers ordered him to undress himself threatening that he will be stabbed to death if he refuses. According to the victim, while parading naked he was intercepted by the Police Commander of Bong County who query the soldiers about their wrongful act against him.
