The woman whose identity was not immediately known and her two children were said to be returning from school on a motorbike. In the confusion, the tanker started to roll back, thereby dragging the motorbike along after crushing the woman, her two children and three others. Tribune Online reports that a mammoth crowd gathered at the scene of the accident watching the dismembered body of the woman and her children. The state Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ibrahim Abubakar confirmed the incident when contacted on Tuesday.

Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has confirmed that 24 persons were abducted in recent attacks on Chibok local government area in the state. Chibok became famous after the abduction of over 200 schoolgirls by Boko Haram at a boarding secondary school in 2014. He said during the visit, Zulum invited relatives from the three affected communities made up of men and women and hosted them at the Government lodge in Chibok town. The Chairman of Chibok local government area, Umar Ibrahim while briefing the governor on the incident, said in addition to the 24 people abducted, three persons were killed by the terrorists during separate attacks on three communities. Zulum immediately directed that an assessment report containing all destructions perpetrated by the terrorists in the three communities be submitted to him.

THE leader of the technical committee, Atiku Abubakar presidential campaign, Chief Raymond Dokpesi, has solicited support for a one-term presidency for the former Vice President. Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, yesterday, announced that registration for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and Direct Entry examination will commence by February 12, 2022. It made this known in its weekly bulletin released by its Director of Public Relations, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, in Abuja.
