Ton Kekula recounted that under CHIP-Liberia’s healthcare component of its programs; the organization created Coronavirus awareness and distributed food and anti-covid-19 materials to various vulnerable groups in Liberia. He, however, noted that CHIP remains committed in helping to accelerate the development and forward match of Liberia through the implementation of its programs. Monrovia – The Government of Liberia (GOL), through the Liberia Petroleum Regulatory Authority (LPRA), has announced an extension of the timeframe for the Liberia License Round, 2020 affecting nine (9) blocks in the highly prospective Harper Basin. Launched in April 2020, the license round attracted interests from diverse players within the industries with expectation of closure by October 2020. The Government previous announcement set the deadline for Pre-qualification on October 31, 2020 with qualified candidates required to submit final bids by February 2021. In addition to the extension of the bid round, LPRA has also announced new changes to the commercial terms as a mean of incentivizing investment in Liberia. Under this new adjustment, there will be no minimum requirement thereby allowing companies to submit bids describing their proposal for signature bonus.

The training began on Monday, November 9 and will run thru November 13, 2020 at the head office of We Care Foundation on Sixteenth Street in Sinkor. It focusing on the Comprehensive Nurturing Care Model of Early Childhood Development (ECD). PHIL and We Care Foundation are the two organizations implementing the program in partnership with the Ministries of Health and Education for eighteen (18) months. With funding from OSIWA, the program has expanded to include the nurturing care component for children that are enrolled in the program in Neezoe community, Paynesville.

Monrovia – The Universal Human Rights International (UHRI) Inc. has embarked on its campaign to liberate Liberians suffering at home and abroad with the honoring of Massachusetts’ champion of TPS and the Green Card bill, Congressman Jim McGovern. A primary commodity producing Liberian economy which was already in decline before the pandemic has been hard hit by this global slump.
