Liberian Government Distances Itself From Violence in Ivory Coast
MONROVIA – The Government of Liberia has distanced itself the violence taking place in neighboring Cote D’Ivoire ahead of Saturday’s polls. The situation has already led a few thousands of lvoirians to seek refuge in Liberia and other neighboring countries, evoking memories of the 2010 electoral violence in that country. The government’s clarification comes in the wake of allegation on Facebook against Mr. Bamba Ousmane, one of the Advisors to President Weah, being involved with trooping mercenaries to the Ivory Coast. Liberia: Absolutely No Group or Organization Responsible to Set The Prices of Cocoa
NIMBA COUNTY – The Administration of the Liberia Agriculture Commodity Regulatory Authority (LACRA) has warned that there is absolutely no group or organization responsible to set the prices of cocoa and coffee or any other agriculture commodity on the Liberian market except LACRA. Finally, we want to reiterate that the buying price of cocoa in Liberia still remains until further notice. The quality control officers were being trained in harvest and post-harvest management practices, fermentation of cocoa beans, drying of cocoa beans among others. The eight quality control officers will be assigned in Nimba and Lofa Counties as part of an IFAD project to improve the quality of cocoa in Liberia. “We believe the workshop was an eye opener which will help us greatly” said Raymond Roberts one of the trained quality control staff.

Speaking with FrontPageAfrica after the tour over the weekend, the president of AMEU Alumni Association who got inducted into office in November 2019 says as alumni, it is their responsibility to seek the welfare of every alumni member. Since March of 2020, Delamy says they launched a dollar rally campaign to help their economically challenged and their ill alumni members. This semester, additional 21 persons have benefitted from the alumni financial aid under Dr. Louise C.
