Earlier to his ascension to the Ninth Senate, where he became the Chief Whip, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu had served as Abia State governor. Two years into the PPA administration in Abia State, Kalu fell out with his political godson, the governor. Kalu’s electoral triumph and emergence as Senate Chief Whip was garnished with a 12-year jail term. And, while the Senate Chief Whip was out of circulation, the Senate debated and passed the 2020 appropriation bill. When Tinubu urged the Senate President to go lick his wounds, the jab must have been meant for all those who propped him for the great fall with confused strategies.

Micah 2:13 reads, “The breaker (the Messiah, who opens the way) shall go up before them (liberating them). Jesus is our barrier breaker; he has opened the gates of life for all who are in bondage to escape. The text above pictures many in the kingdom who are trapped in self-imposed fear that hinders their progress. Arising from the ashes of her broken world, she forged ahead not certain of where her courage would lead her to. The phobia for Mathematics, the phobia for marriage, the phobia for height or driving, timidity in life, lack of confidence, and the cultural phobia of life.

More than half of footballers playing at the European Championship and African Cup of Nations suffered online abuse, a study published by FIFA revealed on Saturday. Much of the abuse came from fans of the players’ home nations. “Homophobic (40%) and racist (38%) comments provided the majority of the abuse,” said the independent report published to coincide with the United Nations International Day for Countering Hate Speech. This will involve scanning recognised hate speech terms published to identified social media accounts, and once detected, prevent that comment from being seen by the recipient and their followers. England’s Marcus Rashford, Bukayo Saka and Jadon Sancho were all targeted online following their penalty misses in the Euro 2020 final, leading to widespread calls for a clampdown on racist abuse on social media.
